THE BOYS Season 3 Promo Parodies JUSTICE LEAGUE

You’ve got to hand it to the marketing folks behind The Boys. They always turn out hilarious promos that skewer superhero movies, and comic book culture in general. And this latest promo for The Boys season three is one of the best yet. The official Vought International Twitter account just released a trailer for “Dawn of the Seven: The Bourke Cut.”

Bourke refers to Adam Bourke, the fictional director behind the “Dawn of the Seven” movie in The Boys season two. Of course, the events of the previous season mandate a new director’s cut of the movie. One where they reframe Stormfront as a Nazi villainess, hence this sepia-toned Zack Snyder’s Justice League parody. You can watch the video right here:

Speaking of Zack Snyder, he took this promo poking fun at his style like a good sport. And he even congratulated director Adam Bourke on getting to “execute his true vision.” Well, we think that was classy of him.

As loyal The Boys viewers may recall, “Dawn of the Seven” highly fictionalized Stormfront’s recruitment, A-Train’s firing, and Queen Maeve coming out as LGBTQ+. Even though it was more like Homelander outed Maeve without her permission. Of course, in light of the revelations about Stormfront as a secret Nazi, it stands to reason the entire movie needed a massive retooling. Luckily, Vought International has pretty deep pockets.

The Seven stand proud in Vought International's trailer for Dawn of the Seven, a ficional movie in The Boys universe.
Prime Video

We certainly hope The Boys season three gives us some insight into the making of “Dawn of the Seven: The Bourke Cut.” Since most of these characters hate each other, we’d love to see how much fun they had on set pretending they are one big happy family. And who they recast Stormfront with. This seems like the perfect opportunity for a big-name cameo. The Boys season three debuts on Prime Video with three episodes on June 3.
